Down-to-earth and committed to all that he does, Chun Kiat is a positive and willing learner who remains undaunted when given challenging tasks. He has an enterprising spirit and is willing to perservere in times of adversity. He works hard to overcome obstacles in order to achieve his aims. He engages in self-monitoring and aware of his own strengths and areas of improvement. Taking ownership of his growth and learning, Chun Kiat does not hesitate to seek clarification where necessary and asks relevant questions to build on existing knowledge. He is also someone who works well on his own and does not need much guidance.
Having an analytical mind, Chun Kiat displays a flair for sound reasoning and logical thinking. He possesses the ability to acquire new information, critically evaluate it and put it to good use. He also capable of analysing a problem from diverse angles and drawing independent conclusions. He is always systematic and methodical in his approach when faced with challenges.
Chun Kiat shows a keen interest in Infocomm Technology (IT) and is actively involved in his Co-Curricular Activity, the Infocomm Club. As a member of the club, he participated in events such as I-Tech: A Creativity-Technology Fusion Challenge organised by Nanyang Polytechnic (2005). His team also represented the school in National Junior Robotic Competition (2005 and 2006). Other than the standard club activities, Chun Kiat is also part of the school Audio and Visual Aid (AVA) crew. A responsible member of the AVA crew, he faithfully turns up for all AVA duties during the weekly assemblies and major school events such as Achievement Day during which he provided sound and visual projection services. He is proactive and his competent in handling any unexpected technical problems. Chun Kiat has also been given the chance to guide and tran new members in IT skills and also to operate and maintain the AV equipment.
Chun Kiat is an unassuming and pleasant young man who has the tenacity to do his best even under trying circumstances. He demonstrates a willingness to face challenges and works towards continual improvement. It has been a pleasure teaching him.
